Croan goes it alone

Nick Croan has left Amedeo Adjusting Ltd after 15 years to run Paladin.

In 2003, Nick and another Adjuster set up and ran a successful UK/European adjusting practice.  The same firm has had three forays into catastrophe response adjusting and accounted well for itself.

Croan comments are that “he is very happy with what was achieved at Amedeo” but now seeks a new challenge saying “I wish my former colleagues at Amedeo Adjusting Ltd all the best for the future” Paladin was originally set up by Helen Croan MA Edin, a former educator, in 2016 on the basis that there was a niche in the adjusting market.

Having been told that people do business with people, not firms nor corporations, Helen felt that the time had come to offer a genuine bespoke service.   Helen commented that “following a lot of hard work, much of it at CILA Council level, there is now a climate in adjusting where real opportunities for all exist.”

Looking back to when Amedeo came to the market the large firms were out of favour and accordingly a lot of adjusting talent was embedded within small to medium firms, that were headed up by experienced well-known Adjusters.

By 2016, the vista had changed radically from 2003, with a number of major and surprising player changes.  The large firms had regenerated and many Adjusters from small/medium forms had joined them.

Nick Croan is unusual in that most adjusters with his time served( 32 years), have moved into management positions and are no longer “on the tools” Nick has always had a full caseload; he has never become divorced from losses both large and small.  His view is – “I am a generalist but have been fortunate to meet and work with a wide range of talented and experienced experts who I can involve as necessary.”

A major USP for Paladin is value for money, by dint of a cutting-edge custom developed claims management system that is without peer and hyper-efficient approach to overheads.  This means Paladin can offer its unbeatable service with an extremely competitive fee structure.

Thereafter, the loss is in the care and control of an empathetic experienced adjuster who is “on the case” with back office support. We can do this because we do not oversubscribe;

Every insurance claim is unique, and Nick and his team treat all claims with a tailored personal approach.
